More news to come..
Absolutely love this track from new (or at least new to me) band Friendly Fires. Worth checking their album out too…more of the same really.
This is the B-side (?!! seriously try turning a CD over and playing it…doesn’t work) to The Saturdays Comic Relief single ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’. It is the best song they have ever recorded. Why isn’t it a single? They really have done a ‘Girl Overboard’. You can only get in on the actual physical CD single so go out, do your bit for charity and buy it if you can still find a shop that sells CDs on your local high street.
Here’s something new I’m going to try… …Spotify Mixtapes…..woo!
Click this link to listen to the first one:
You’ll need to have Spotify installed and be registered. This first one is just a selection of the latest and greatest but look out for some special edition themed mixtapes over the coming days and weeks.

Yes…Izzy off of Neighbours. This is her second solo single Someday Soon. She’s now broken free from those Rogue Traders and is going it alone. I posted her debut single Alive well before Christmas. The album 1000 Stars has just been released Down Under.

Single number four from The Saturdays is a special offering to raise money for Comic Relief. An inspired cover of the Depeche Mode classic. It’s a bit like when Girls Aloud did their cover of ‘Jump’, only a bit better. Yellow Saturday (who appears mostly in blue here) surpasses herself in this promo. Could this be their first number one or will it get beaten by the other Comic Relief single – ‘Islands In The Stream’ performed by Nessa and Bryn from Gavin and Stacey?
I say buy them both… .and when I say buy I actually mean it. These songs will save peoples’ lives. Not something Basshunter can really lay claim to.
You won’t be able to watch this video without visiting You Tube because free promotion has been ‘ disabled by request’.
Worth a watch though. Brandon Flowers looks stunning and this is a really nice song. I don’t think they will ever match Hot Fuss but this is perfectly acceptable and definately the best song called ‘Spaceman’ since Babylon Zoo.
Oh My God it’s Ida Maria… …
She had a micro hit with ‘I Like You So Much Better…’ at the tail end of last year and is now back with this angry romp.
Rather good isn’t it?
The nominees for the 2009 Brit Awards were announced last night by Ferne Bloody Cotton.
Duffy and Coldplay have too many. Girls Aloud don’t have enough. The X Factor Finalists are nominated for Hero!! What!?
Don’t even get me started on Scouting for Girls. Indie’s answer to 2 Unlimited but not good. She so..no no…no no no.
BORING.
Initially I thought this song was a bit dull but it’s now grown on me to the point that I’m hoping it replaces No bloody Air as the song you’re guaranteed to hear every hour of your life for the forseeable future.
I still think the peak of her career will come when someone sees sense and give the Mis-teeq laydee her own chat show.
